The Anne Kenneally Hynes Memorial Scholarship Committee was proud to present the Second Annual Legends and Legacies of East Bridgewater Gala. We appreciate that many of you were able to join us at the event to help support graduates of East Bridgewater Junior/Senior High School as they pursue their college pathways. Anne Hynes was a teacher, librarian, mentor, friend, and supporter of generations of East Bridgewater students. In her name, the AKHMS Committee seeks to raise a minimum of $100,000 to provide scholarships to East Bridgewater Junior/Senior High School graduates. Since the kickoff event in 2011, sixteen students have received scholarship awards of $1,000 each.
The evening’s Master of Ceremonies was John Boucher, recently retired President of South Shore Bank. The deejay was Tom Kerrigan of TMK productions. Videography was provided by Anne Kerrigan, Asst. Director of East Bridgewater Community Television. The auctioneer was Gary Saccocia, Sr. All have deep roots in East Bridgewater. Retired EBHS chemistry teacher John Young served as photographer for the evening.
The Canoe Club Ballroom, completely renovated, provided an elegant setting for the event.
